At Mista Willie’s Smokehouse BBQ, we bring authentic East Coast Carolina barbecue flavors to Alpharetta, GA. Founded on October 3rd, 2017, by Willie and Lisa, our family-owned business is built on a passion for slow-smoked, mouthwatering barbecue. Every dish we serve reflects our commitment to tradition and the rich, smoky flavors that define Carolina BBQ.
A little about us
With over 30 years of experience in the food industry, Willie began his journey as a dishwasher and worked his way up to the role of chef manager, mastering the art of culinary excellence along the way.
Lisa brings over 20 years of expertise from the corporate world, along with an MBA in Business and a Master’s in Human Resources. Her leadership and strategic knowledge play a vital role in driving the success of our family-owned business.
The Beginning
In 2007, Lisa hosted a birthday celebration for Willie with a fish fry and crab boil. What began as a one-time gathering grew into a cherished seven-year tradition. By 2013, the high demand for event catering inspired the launch of Mista Willie’s Smokehouse BBQ.
Since then, our family-owned barbecue food truck has proudly served Alpharetta, GA, and nearby communities with authentic East Coast Carolina flavors. From wedding anniversaries and birthday parties to graduations and Super Bowl gatherings, we provide exceptional BBQ and grilled food catering for any occasion.
