How did we get started
who we are
Mista Willie’s Smokehouse BBQ is a family owned business the owners are a husband and wife team Willie and Lisa. The business opened in Alpharetta, GA on October 3rd, 2017. Our BBQ style comes from the east coast of the Carolinas.
A little about us
Willie has been in the food industry for 30 years, starting as a dishwasher, and then eventually working his way up to chef manager.
Lisa has been in the corporate industry for over 16 years, and brings a wealth of knowledge to this business with a MBA in business and a Masters in HR.
The Beginning
In 2007 Lisa organized a birthday celebration for Willie. She invited family and friends over for a fish fry and crab boil. This celebration soon turned into a 7 year event. In 2013, when family, friends and other customers started requesting our catering services, Lisa started floating the ideal for a catering business, and Mista Willie’s was born. Since then we’ve done catering for wedding anniversaries, birthday parties, super bowl parties, graduations, high school reunions and other special events.
